Dear Parents/Guardians
Assalaamu Alaikum , hope you are enjoying the last few hot days of Summer. According to the city of Pickering, we have been informed that there will be access to the school via Taunton Road to Audley Road North on September 14, 2017between 8:00 am-4:00pm. However, there will be no access to Audley Road via Highway 7 during these times. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school at 905-619-9962.
We have organised the following events during the current month of September.
Sept 21 – Meet the teacher night would be held from 3: 45 pm to 5:00 pm. Kindly note that the teacher would like to discuss the curriculum rather than your child’s academic performance.
Sept 26 – Clubs day – The IFSD students would have a chance to join a club based upon their interest.
Sept 28 – Student Council Elections - We want to inculcate leadership skills in our students. Hence, we encourage them to be part of the student council. They get to organise and plan school events.
Sept 29 – Terry Fox Run – As you aware that it is great event to contribute for the great cause. We have planned exciting activities for our students. Kindly encourage your children to contribute for this great initiative of finding a cure for cancer.
We go by the philosophy of “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind.” Hence, we are also planning after school sports during the last week of this month.
The Uniform Shoppe, our official uniform provider has all the right sized trousers. Kindly contact the company to get the new uniforms.
The land survey has been done for the loop path to exit the school. Inshallah, soon the road would be paved.
The playground construction would start in October of 2017, next month.
On a side note, we have few spaces left in each grade from JK to grade 8. Kindly inform your family and friends.
We need parent volunteers for our basement cleanup and after school sports. If you are interested then kindly email me or contact the office.
