EQAO: What to expect and how to prepare

WHAT TO EXPECT AND HOW TO PREPARE

As you are aware, EQAO is coming up very soon. For EQAO, Grade 3 students will be assessed through three booklets: One mathematic booklet, and two language booklets.

For both booklets, there are open response questions and multiple choice questions. Students have already received packages from early years to help them understand the structure of the questions. EQAO will be spread out during the last two weeks of May.

Alhumdulillah, at this point your child has been equipped with all the tools and strategies to help them be successful. It is simply a matter of practicing and reinforcing those skills both at home and at school.  I will be sending home another practise test and the answer keys are available to you online at the EQAO website so you can guide your students and ensure they are on the right track.

If your child is weak in a certain area, you will receive a letter home this week to guide you on what areas to work on as well as extra practice sheets. Jazakallah for your continued support and cooperation.
